Moku. Hand Crafted Furniture For Calm Living
Made with calm, designed to last.
At Moku, we believe the objects around you should bring stillness, not noise. Each piece is shaped slowly, finished by hand, and built to outlast trends.
The Wood The Craft The Difference.
- Genuinely Handmade — "Every piece is made by hand in a family workshop in rural Sussex. No factories, no shortcuts."
- Real Wood. Always. — "We work only with natural timber — never MDF, veneer or composite. What you see is what the wood gave us."
- One of a Kind — "Natural grain variation means no two pieces are ever identical. You're not buying a product — you're owning an original."
- Shop with Confidence — "New to Moku? We're a studio with a lifetime of craft behind us. Questions welcome — we're easy to reach and happy to help."
Who is Moku?
Moku is Phillip Evans, Designer and Maker — the force behind Moku, supported by a small dedicated workshop team.
One Sussex workshop, and an obsession with getting it right.
Every piece is designed, shaped, and finished by hand — never outsourced, never rushed. The name comes from the Japanese word for wood. The approach comes from a belief that the objects in your home should be worth keeping.
Not trend-driven. Trend-setting.
Limited by design. Made for life.
Orders can also be collected in person from our Sussex workshop — by appointment only.
